CAPTURING FAMILY Naples Photographer...

CAPTURING FAMILY I absolutely loved shooting with this family! I love capturing family images because I know that they’ll be treasured far into the future by many individuals – not just the ones featured in the shot. They were such a fun bunch and we had an incredibly beautiful night for their session. This was an extended family from the East coast who was in town for vacation together. We shot the session on the North end of Marco Island which is always a beautiful area. I loved how the colors of their wardrobe went so perfectly against the sunset that evening. The entire family was such a happy bunch and their smiles all confirm that. I laughed and laughed while working with them. I love leaving a session when my jaws ache from the smiles and the laughter Each extension of their immediate family went with the flow and were complete naturals in front of the camera. The adult siblings actually purchased this session for their mother as a Christmas gift. What a thoughtful gift to give! It’s the gift that will keep on giving for years and years to come. Generation after generation can enjoy and treasure these images. Many times we stress about what to give a loved one for a holiday gift, birthday celebration, or even something as simple as a Valentine’s Day gift idea. A portrait session will always be a great idea in regard to ranking up there with the best gifts ever. Women may initially stress about having a session done but in the end, the final result will be a gift that means the world to them. Same with men. Men may not always consider a portrait session an event that they want to partake in....

WHEN TOMORROW ISN’T PROMISED…{Naples Florida Family Photographer}...

If there was ever a day that the value of photography was confirmed for me…that day is today. As a professional photographer, I know with my whole heart how important photography is. But today…today it’s running through my veins like never before. Some of you will recognize the above family session from me having shared their sneak peek images on my social media accounts last month. And many of you will recognize that beautiful blonde senior who is 2nd from the left – next to her dad – as my client and ASP’s senior cover girl model for 2016, Alexis. When I met Alexis, I instantly fell in love with her after scouring her social media accounts. I fell in love with her love for her family. In all of the images on her instagram account, there were more than the norm for a teenager of her family. Her Dad, her brother, mom and sister were strewn throughout her account like a teen would share their best friends. In several of the captions, I saw where she had listed her dad, her mom, or her brother as indeed…her “best friend.” Her openly professed and extreme love for her family members is one of the reasons why I chose her as the senior cover girl model for this year. I’m a huge Daddy’s girl myself so her love for her dad especially resonated deeply with me. Since making her our cover girl, I’ve shot with her several times. In the process of those shoots…I’ve fallen more in love with her and her whole family as well. One of our most recent times together was last month when her Mom, Kimberly, hired me to shoot their family images. She worked tirelessly to assure that all of their...

MARCO ISLAND FAMILY BEACH PHOTOGRAPHER

I love working with the tourists who come to SWFL for their vacations. This sweet family is from Kansas and came to Marco Island for their vacation back in June. Talk about gorgeous! We had a beautiful evening for their shoot and because the Marriott hotel over on Marco is shut down for major renovations right now, we pretty much owned the beach. Mommy & daughter looked absolutely stunning and followed my advice completely regarding color tones. Talk about color pop. Wow! I loved it all! Talk about some sass right here…what a doll! She not only loves her Mommy but she also adores her Daddy. Watching her soar with his help was too fun. She loved every second of it. I caught a split second moment when he through her up in the air and although way out of focus and totally blurry…there was something so ethereal about it. I couldn’t bare to part with it and instead decided to leave it in their gallery. Not only did Mommy & daughter look awesome but Dad and son did too. Their little boys blue eyes were a force to be reckoned with out there next to that ocean water. And he happened to be really good at finding starfish too. 🙂 I love it when siblings go in for the love without having to be bribed… Talk about a great looking family… We even grabbed some images of just Mom and Dad together. Gorgeous couple! Daddy found a hermit crab on the beach and everyone wanted to see it except for their daughter. She didn’t want any part of it. What a beautiful night we had. Thank you to the “L” family for allowing me the opportunity to document this set of memories for them. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful family to photograph or a more beautiful night to...

THE MORGAN FAMILY {MARCO ISLAND FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER} May12

THE MORGAN FAMILY {MARCO ISLAND FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER}...

In April, Courtney and her family were visiting Marco Island from Illinois, and she contacted me to take extended family portraits while they were here. Courtney brought her husband Matt and her two adorable twin three-year-old boys, Chance and Maddox. Courtney’s sister Lindsey and her husband Chris came along with their children Audra, age 3 and baby Brooks. Courtney and Lindsay’s parents, Cathy and Marv, rounded out the family. My favorite moment was watching little Brooks enjoy the sand – or rather eat the sand! Also, I loved watching Courtney’s brother-in-law Chris race the all the kids down the beach. Watching the smiles, hearing the laughs, and seeing them run the beach until their legs were ready to give out. To be a kid again… I had my heart swell watching their Grandpa, Marv, interact with the kids. He was such a great hands on Grandpa and reminded me a lot of my own Father and how he is with my children.   Thank you, Courtney, for trusting me with these moments! I hope to see you all again...

MEGAN & FAMILY {NAPLES – FORT MYERS FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER}...

In early April, I met Megan and her family – husband Jeremy, and daughters Meredith, Madelyn, and Julia – at the beach for a family session. This wonderful family has been a “grow with me family” ever since their youngest, Meredith, was a baby. I’ve been able to photograph them on three different occasions, and I adore spending time with each and every one of them. It’s an amazing honor to watch my client’s families grow each year. I love watching these girls relax and have fun in front of the camera. They are all so beautiful and unique! This year, it was Meredith’s turn to unfold. She had fun with the posing and then got so animated and adorable. She’s truly a natural, just like her big sisters! Thank you, Megan, for trusting me with these moments every year. I love watching your family...

SHANNON O.’S FAMILY {NAPLES FAMILY BEACH PHOTOGRAPHER}...

Shannon brought her family to see me all the way from Iowa, and I absolutely adored them! Mom and Dad have three adorable little boys—one of whom was the same age as my youngest little girl, so their baby reminded me of her while we were doing the shoot. Connor and Brendan, the two older brothers, were absolutely adorable as well! I loved getting to see the three boys interacting, and Connor and Brendan were so great with their baby brother. It was obvious they truly adore him. In fact, I was so excited to get a silhouette of the boys all holding hands. It really showed how well the two oldest looked after their baby brother, and I loved seeing them all together. My favorite image has to be the first family silhouette because it was just a candid family moment – relaxed and natural. I love those “caught in the moment” images! I love shooting silhouettes at the end of a beach session. Capturing a family’s love with the cascading cotton candy skies lit up behind them…! It just makes my heart sing. Plus, silhouettes always make for great art in a family’s gallery—especially beach ones! Shannon, thank you again for allowing me to capture these moments. I loved getting to know you and your family, and I hope to see you next time you are...
