NAPLES PHOTOGRAPHER Jun04

NAPLES PHOTOGRAPHER

As a Naples photographer, I get to work with a lot of amazing clients. This gorgeous girl is no different. Meet Kristina. Kristina came to me and had a very specific idea of how she wanted her senior portraits to look. She asked for them to be simple and neutral – going so far as to request a white background for most of them. She sent me some images she had seen on the Internet that stood out to her and the common denominator was that they were clean and modern and focused solely on the subject. I did some location scouting to come up with a white backdrop (without having to be inside a studio). In the process, I found this building… We had amazing lighting on this particular day and with that white building being such an automatic reflector it was a match made in heaven. This delicious environment lasted for all of 20 minutes – before a massive downpour came from our of nowhere. Ugh! Florida weather at its finest. Talk about a stunning smile. Such a gorgeous girl! When the rain decided to start pouring down on us, we ultimately had to make an executive decision to cancel the remainder of the session and reschedule it. We shot the 2nd part of her session on a different day and thankfully we had much better luck when it came to the rain. Kristina will be attending YALE UNIVERSITY this Fall to begin her journey into college. How awesome that she’s attending Yale! I encouraged her to go ahead and bring that “Y” sweater with her when she put together the wardrobe ideas for her shoot. Kristina graduated from The Community School of Naples here in Florida just last week. I was able...

SENIOR DESTINATION PHOTOGRAPHER Apr29

SENIOR DESTINATION PHOTOGRAPHER

SENIOR DESTINATION PHOTOGRAPHER {Naples and Las Vegas} Many of you know that I recently announced that I was excited to entertain the idea of being a senior destination photographer. Angie Seaman Photography is now offering Senior destination shoots across the country and abroad. As a senior destination photographer, I’ll be traveling to different cities and states to capture epic one of a kind senior portraits for you. In order to promote that offering, myself, my hair and make-up artist, Janea Soliven of JA Make-Up Artistry, my oldest son, and his girlfriend all flew out to Las Vegas to shoot the promo images and the behind the scenes videos for the senior destination options. Sophia, my sons girlfriend of a year and a half, was our model for the shoots. They’ll both be seniors next year so this was a perfect time to capture her. We began the first day of shooting up in the the desert mountain side within the Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada. I’ve been to Vegas several times and shot in the desert each time we’re there. However, I had never been to the Valley of Fire before so this was real treat for me. To say that this place is beautiful would be a massive understatement. I couldn’t get over the continual beauty as I looked around me. The red rock formations in the Valley of Fire are so incredibly ornate and every square inch leaves a new location to discover. I could’ve spent days in there. Literally days – and never gotten bored. The head piece that you see in these images was made especially for this shoot to match the parachute dress I had her wear. We used the parachute for part of the shoot and then we removed it for the rest. Either way, she was stunning! And boy did we have some endless laughs during this trip. The fun just never stopped! We had special access to the park on this particular day so the areas where we shot were closed off to everyone except us. We felt pretty special to say the least. 🙂 I loved the Valley of Fire so much that we’ll be definitely going back there this coming Spring when I go back to Las Vegas for our annual WPPI industry conference. If you or someone you know is interested in having their senior photography session shot in Las Vegas, you know where to find me. We’re taking a limited number of seniors back with us for the next trip. Our Las Vegas shoot consisted of three different locations so I’ll be breaking these blog write ups into 3-5 different posts over the next week or two. There are just too many amazing images to share all in one post. I wanted to start with the Valley of Fire images because that was our day one. I can’t wait to share the other shoot locations with all of you and the images from those spots. We had an absolute blast and I can’t wait to share these same experiences with other seniors that are interested in the destination sessions as well. HAIR AND MAKE-UP And a HUGE thank you again to Janea for coming along with us on this crazy journey to do the hair and make-up for our senior sessions. Her work is incredible and I think these images prove that. We love you Janea! Thank you for joining me on the first of many to come senior destination photography trips. XOXO,...

SOPHIA FLORIDA SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER Feb17

SOPHIA FLORIDA SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER

SOPHIA – FLORIDA SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER Many of you might recognize this gorgeous girls face as that of my oldest sons girlfriend. Sophia. So-So as my younger children like to commonly call her in our house. Brennen and Sophia have been dating for almost a year and a half now so she’s like an extension of our family. We all adore her. My own parents adore her. She’s definitely a positive addition to our crazy family. Thank goodness she doesn’t hold our craziness against us. 🙂 I had been dddyyyiiiinnngggg to have Sophia in front of my lens since the day I first met her. However, my son always detests when his friends or girlfriends become “clients” of mine. He knows by becoming a client, we form a bond that is hard to break. He also hates having me up in his space – loving on his peeps – and them loving on me right back. As a teen, a mom who works in a field where she’s in front of your friends a lot or shooting your varsity high school football games – on the sidelines with your teammates and such – I’m sure it becomes quite irritating. I try to respect that and appreciate it from his point of view. Therefore, with Sophia…I never pushed. They both knew I was here – armed and waiting – if she ever wanted to do a session with me. Brennen finally caved and they told me one day that he was “granting permission.” I was like a giddy little school girl. You can see why. My camera is obsessed with So-So. The one thing I love about this shoot with her is that we captured Sophia. Truly her. I love how she shows up at my home in her converse, ripped jeans and a plain tee on most days. She isn’t one that is running around as a teenager in overly skimpy clothes. I commend her for that – especially in today’s era. I see so many teen girls half dressed anymore and it’s especially bad in my line of work. Thankfully, Sophia is secure with herself and can rock a pair of jeans a white tee like nobodies business. But then there are those moments when she throws on a dress and heels and you’re like…Woah! Even then though. She’s classic. Simple. Modest. Absolutely stunning! And her eyebrows. OMG! I’m 40 years old and so extremely jealous of her brows. It’s so not fair!!! She has a smile that is out of this world and she loves my son. We love her around these parts. Like a lot! In fact, my special needs daughter, who is 12 years old…pretty much thinks that Sophia hung the moon. Literally. We love Sophia like one of our own and we love how she loves on our children. Not just my firstborn – as his girlfriend – but also how she loves on our other three kiddos too. Brennen picked a true gem with So-So. She’s gorgeous inside and out. If you or someone you know is looking for a senior photographer in the Southwest Florida area or would like to have Angie Seaman Photography travel to you in another state, you know who to call. Not only do I offer local photography in our area (Naples, Marco Island, Bonita Springs, Estero, Cape Coral, Ft. Myers, or Sanibel Island, Florida), I also travel to you or to destination areas like LA, Chicago, New York, Las Vegas, Beverly Hills, etc. for senior destination shoots. Give me a call to discuss how we can plan an epic senior shoot for this chapter of your life. Sophia’s hair and make-up by Janea Soliven of J&A Make-Up Artistry We <3 you So-So! XOXO,...

SARAH {MARCO ISLAND, FLORIDA SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER} Feb10

SARAH {MARCO ISLAND, FLORIDA SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER}

Let’s talk about this gorgeous girl. Even though she’s not from here, we still shot her session here in Naples, Florida near the Marco Island, Florida area of town. As a senior photographer, I embrace out of state clients and local senior clients here in Florida as well. Seriously. Could she be any more perfect? Like really. Not only is she stunning but she’s from my hometown. Indiana. A Hoosier. I love that! Love me some fellow Indy peeps. Oh…and on top of all that. She’s also a photographer. Yeah! I told you she was awesome! 🙂 We shot Sarah’s session during Christmas/New Years. She came down all the way from Indiana and we spent several hours documenting her amazing self in a few different locations around town. Can we also just take a minute to talk about this girls hair??? So.Not.Fair. Like with all of my other senior clients, Janea Soliven, of JA Make-Up Artistry is our H&MUA for my shoots. She did a fabulous job with Sarah. Her hair and make-up suits Sarah perfectly and leaves her with a natural and clean look that highlights her already amazing features. We finished up Sarah’s session at the beach. I had a blast working with Sarah and had an even better time unboxing all of her senior imagery that she ordered from her actual shoot. I was like a kid at Christmas time when it all arrived. Sarah, thank you for allowing me to document this chapter of your life. You’re a true stunner and I can’t wait to see where these next few years take you. And when I’m home next time, we need to plan a day to just go out and shoot for fun while there in good ol’ Indy. I appreciate you sending me the images of downtown Indianapolis to help aide in my homesick mentality. It always helps to feel a bit closer to home by way of images. XOXO!...

COVER GIRL {NAPLES FLORIDA SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER} Dec11

COVER GIRL {NAPLES FLORIDA SENIOR PHOTOGRAPHER}

After months upon months of searching for the face that I wanted to represent Angie Seaman Photography for our high school senior division, I finally found her. Meet Alexis. As a photographer for senior high school students here in Naples, Florida…I run across some absolutely stunning girls. Florida doesn’t run short on beautiful beachy-esque teens. I searched high and low – not only interviewing faces for the 2016 ASP Cover contest but also scouting hours and hours of social media accounts. Out of all the girls who entered, Alexis not only had the face but she had a clean social media account that portrayed the heart and soul of what we feel best represents Angie Seaman Photography’s brand. Many had the face but what was discovered on their social media accounts when I went digging, left me saddened. Alexis’ account was clean, upbeat, showed love beyond the norm for her family members, and was just fun in general. When I envision who I’d like to see representing my brand over this next year, I couldn’t have found a better girl. And then there are those eyes again. They just suck you right in. And she does it all so effortlessly. I would’ve killed to look like this as a senior in high school. She is just stunning! And Janea of JA Make-Up Artistry, my hair and make-up artist that I use for all of my client shoots, totally nailed her look. I couldn’t ask for a better partner in crime when it comes to capturing the beauty of my already gorgeous clients. Janea knows that I do not like my seniors to look “done up” or totally different from who they really are. She knows that I like her to just enhance those amazing features that are already present with my clients. And boy does she do it well! Love ya Janea! Alexis can carry so many different looks. The girl couldn’t take a bad image if she tried. She just recently moved here from South Carolina and has been pursuing modeling agencies in the Miami area. Her Mom asked if we could shoot some of her modeling images at the beach once we completed the senior portion of her shoot. So off we went. And boy did she nail her beach images as well. We had a gorgeous summer evening that night too which was nice considering how we have a lot of rainy evenings during our summer months here in Southwest Florida. Needless to say, Alexis didn’t need much posing or direction during her shoot. She appeared as though she’d been doing this for years. I’m extremely excited to work with Alexis again as we round out the school year for our 2016 cover model.  You’ll be seeing a llllooootttttttt more of Alexis in the months to come as she’ll be the face of my marketing and will carry out shoots that best reflect ASP’s unique style. Graduating seniors for the class of 2016…now is your time. Don’t let the school year end without having had your senior imagery taken. It’s a mistake you’ll always regret if you do. I...

Class of 2016 {Estero Florida Senior Photographer} Oct04

Class of 2016 {Estero Florida Senior Photographer}...

The heat has finally broken in SWFL and I’m quickly reminded why it is that we live here. If there was ever a time to schedule your senior portrait session, now is that time. As a photographer, the noticeable difference in heat is amazing! We live in a true tropical paradise so conducting senior shoots on location outdoors is such a blessing that many across the country do not get the luxury of offering. When you’re ready to begin planning your senior shoot, I’m here. We’ve got so many new and exciting things planned for this Fall and Winter season here at ASP. I can’t wait to share the details with each of you. 🙂 XOXO,...
